Thermal sign classification map
Automated regression report. Each grid cell is a probe point fed through validateSignConvention; the colour is the kernel branch the inputs activate, and a red ✕ flags any cell where a predicted principal-sign assertion does NOT match the kernel output.
Validator tolerancesAdjusting either control re-runs all 961 probe checks live.

Failed assertions
No failed assertions for the current grid. Every probe point's predicted principal signs match the kernel output.
How to read this map
- Dashed circle = cooled patch boundary (radius a). Cells inside take the isotropic −B·ΔT branch.
- Outside cells take the hoop-reversal branch: trace ≈ 0, sign of Δσh_max / Δσh_min depends on the radial direction relative to far-field SHmax.
- When ΔT ≤ 0, the heating guard forces every component to exactly 0 (gray cells).
- Red-bordered cells are regressions — the kernel diverged from the prediction.
