Privacy notice
How Wellbore Genius handles the data your team uploads. Questions, or a request we haven't covered here? privacy@wellboregenius.com.
Privacy & data processing summary
One document for a security or procurement reviewer: what we collect, why, how long it is kept, who can access it, every subprocessor, and how to request export or deletion. Generated from these pages, so the download always matches what is published.
What we store
Account information (email, display name, team membership), the engineering data you upload or enter (well and completion designs, diagnostics, logs, simulation inputs and results), and operational metadata needed to run the product (run status, export history, API-key usage timestamps).
We do not ask for, and you should not upload, personal data about individuals beyond the work contact details needed for accounts.
Who can see it
Your engineering data is scoped to your team. Database row-level security keys every user-data table on the team that owns the row, so a signed-in user from one team cannot read, change, or delete another team's rows.
Wellbore Genius staff access is limited to what is needed for support and incident response, and only on request or to resolve a fault.
AI features
Some features send the context you are working on to a hosted AI model to produce an answer, a summary, or a suggestion. Those calls require a signed-in session, are rate limited per user, and are capped in size. See /ai-governance for which features use a model and what context each one sends.
Retention, export, and deletion
Your data is kept while your team's account is active. You can export your cases and results from the app at any time. To have a team's data deleted, email privacy@wellboregenius.com from an account on that team and we will confirm the scope before acting.
Logging
Server logs record event kinds and opaque identifiers, not raw input payloads. Hosting and database platform logs carry request metadata and identifiers only.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of infrastructure and AI providers to run the platform. They are listed on /subprocessors.
Changes
If we make a material change to how data is handled, we will update this page and notify team owners by email.
